Clout Video Featured at Decatur’s State of the City Address

Decatur has become a destination for creative and small entrepreneurial companies. The Decatur Development Authority would like to expand on that, and as part of its recruitment efforts, it hired Clout to produce this marketing video. The video was shown publicly for the first time at last night’s Decatur Business Association meeting where Mayor Bill Floyd delivered the annual State of the City Address. It was a privilege to have the video shown at such an important event.

This video features several Decatur companies, including Pogo Pictures, Function, R L Brown & Associates, Energy Ace and the Art Institute of Atlanta – Decatur. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Is it smart for a big brand like Tostitos to run a major marketing campaign without traditional advertising elements behind it, such as TV commercials, radio spots or print ads? A growing number of mainstream brands are turning to social media as the primary platform for their marketing campaigns. Tostitos is promoting its “Tostitos Reunite America” campaign exclusively through social media and public relations — and is banking on a strong viral reaction. The goal of the campaign is to position the company as one that brings people together. What better way to do that than have people submit their emotional stories about separation from a loved one on Facebook, have Tostitos foot the bill to bring them together, and have the reunion broadcast and shared (for free) across the Internet – where those happy memories will live forever in cyberspace.

Via Elisa is differentiating itself with online video this holiday season. Clout worked with Via Elisa to develop a strategy to reposition the specialty food company, with video being a large part of the overall effort. While already the top-selling pasta sauce at Whole Foods across the southeast, Via Elisa hopes to expand its fan base and drive online sales with an integrated marketing approach that uses social media, public relations, video and email marketing.

Clout Helps City of Decatur Tell Its Story

We’re really excited that the City of Decatur has officially launched its new welcome video, and that it has received such a positive response. Clout had the privilege of interviewing some of the city’s most dynamic figures, including Mayor Bill Floyd; The Brick Store’s Mike Gallagher; the Decatur Book Festival’s Program Director, Tom Bell; Eddie’s Attic’s own Eddie Owen; and Watershed owner/Indigo Girl, Emily Saliers, to name a few. A special thanks goes out to the Indigo Girls for providing many of the tracks.
